The following Privacy Policy and Terms of use (Policies & Terms) manage yourself "User" and relationship with the U.S. Alumni JO mobile application ("App") and landing portal ("Website") operated by the U.S. Embassy in Amman ("Operator"). Please, carefully read the Privacy Policy & Terms of Use before using the U.S. Alumni JO "App" and/or "'Website". Your access to and usage of the "App" relies upon your acceptance of these policies and terms. By accessing or using the "App" you agree to be bound by these "Policies & Terms." If you disagree with or violate any part of the "Policies & Terms" then you may be removed and blocked from the "App." On temporary or permanent basis dictated by the "Operator". The accuracy or completeness of any information, product images, specifications, availability, and services are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to change or update information and to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice. All Copyrights of the "App" and the "Website" belong to the "Operator". Copying or distributing this "App" and the "Website" is prohibited by law.

Account

All personal data is solely used by the "Operator" to verify "User" eligibility of the "App" and "Website". When you create an account with the "Operator", you must provide your accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the "Policies & Terms," which may result in immediate termination of your account on the "App". You are responsible for protecting the password that you use to access the "App" and for any activities or actions completed while logged in with your password, whether your password is with our "App" or any third-party service provided via the "App". You agree not to disclose your password to any third parties. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account. You are prohibited from registering with a name other than your personal name. You are also prohibited from using the name of another person or entity or that is not lawfully available for use, a name or trade mark that is subject to any rights of another person or entity other than you without appropriate authorization, or a name that is otherwise offensive, vulgar or obscene.

Privacy

Personal data - information completed by the you "User" in the corresponding fields of the registration form including all fields required to register in the "App" in current or future "App" releases, such as surname, name, date of birth as well as the address, telephone number, e-mail address, other information about the "User" provided during or after the registration in the "App". Data is not considered personal if it does not directly specify a certain person. Non-personal data may be freely used, transmitted, and disclosed for any purpose. Dissemination or provision of personal data - actions aimed at disclosing personal data to third parties in cases stipulated by law. Destruction of personal data - actions resulting in the impossibility to restore the content of personal data in an information system of personal data and / or resulting in destruction of physical storage media of personal data. The personal data received from the "User" shall be processed considering the requirements of the present Terms of Use and legislation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The personal data may be processed in the following cases:

• Change, correct or destroy his/her personal data provided to the "User".
• Appeal against the actions or inaction of the Lessor to the state authorized body or court to protect his/her personal data.
• The "User" shall undertake:
• The "Operator" is entitled to:
• Provide the "Operator" with reliable information at registration in "App".
• To provide the information required by the "User" in relation with the processing of his/her personal data within 30 days upon the receipt of such a request. This period may be extended if additional work is required to prepare the "User" response. If the Lessee's requirements contradict the legislation of the "Operator", the "User" shall send to the Lessee a reasonable refusal to provide the required information.
• To stop processing of the personal data at the "User" request.
• The "Operator" shall undertake:
• To freely process the personal data of the "User" for the purposes and within the terms stipulated herein.

• To transfer personal data to third parties (including to the court or other state bodies) in cases and in the manner provided by these Regulations and the legislation of RA.

Processing, storage and use of personal data:

Processing of personal data includes any action or set of actions that are associated with collection, recording, input, systematization, formation, storage, use (including use in any software, reports, and other databases), transformation, recovery, transmission (including transfer to other countries in accordance with the legislation of RA), correction, blocking, destruction of or other actions with Personal data regardless the type and method of implementation (with use of any automation equipment, technical means or without them). The use of personal data includes actions with personal data whose direct or indirect purpose may be decision making or opinion formation or acquisition of rights or granting of rights or privileges or limitation or deprivation of rights or realization of other goals which result or may result in legal consequences for the data subject or third parties or otherwise relate to their rights and freedoms.

• The personal data of the "User" may be processed for the following purposes:
• Enabling the "User" registration in the "App".
• Identification of the "User".
• Conducting statistical and other studies based on anonymized data.
• Providing the "User"' access to personalized resources of the "App".
• Mailout of personalized notifications, additional information related to the services.
• Creation, development, operation, distribution and improvement of products, services, materials, and advertising as well as prevention of losses and fraud management.
• Other purposes in accordance with the "Terms & Privacy".

personal data will be processed for an unlimited period, in any legal way, during the period objectively necessary for data processing purposes.

The personal data shall be kept in the "Operator" personal data information system for 5 years after the "User" deletes his/her account from the "App". The personal data will be deleted after the expiration of the period stipulated herein the personal data will be deleted.

The personal data may be blocked and their processing be temporarily terminated at the request of the "User" if he/she detects any inaccuracy of the information being processed or if in the opinion of the subject of the personal data any inappropriate actions are implemented with his/her data.

The personal data shall be blocked based on the "User" written request.

The destruction of personal data implies actions resulting in impossibility to restore the content of personal data.

The personal data may be destroyed either completely or partially. The "User" is entitled to demand to partially destroy his/her personal data if they are unreliable, outdated or illegally acquired.

Confidentiality and protection of personal data:

While processing the personal data the Lessor shall take or cause to take all necessary legal, organizational and technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, block, copy, disclosure, dissemination as well as other illegal actions with them.

The "Operator" shall maintain the confidentiality and protection of only those data which have been directly requested by him.

The "Operator" shall maintain the confidentiality of the "User" personal data. Protection of confidentiality of personal data is not required in the event of anonymization as well as in relation to publicly available personal data.

The security of personal data is achieved in the following way:

• Determining threats to the security of personal data at their processing in the personal data information systems and without use of automated systems.
• Applying organizational and technical measures necessary to meet the requirements for the protection of personal data to ensure the security of personal data during their processing.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of measures taken to ensure the security of personal data.
• Detecting the cases of unauthorized access to personal data and taking measures.
• By other measures aimed at ensuring the security of personal data.
• The personal data is stored in encrypted form, also at using third-party storages.

The personal data may be transferred to third parties in cases and in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Hashemite Kingdom Jordan.

Transfer of personal data includes actions towards transferring data to a definite or indefinite scope of other persons or at exposing them to a definite or indefinite scope of other persons, including their publishing in the media, placing them in information and telecommunication networks or providing access to data to any other person in a different way.
